Isabel's change of heart
SHE was "hopping mad" when Ralph magazine splashed
unauthorised shots of her on their cover, so why - less than
12 months later -
has actress Isabel Lucas hopped into a bikini to frolic for
rival title FHM?
More hippy chick than bikini babe, the former Home and Away
actress undoubtedly makes for a stunning, silicone free
cover-girl in this
month's issue of the lad's mag.
Following the magazine's two year pursuit, Lucas finally
agreed to do the pin-up shoot with FHM - on the proviso that
she could have
complete creative control over the ways the pictures were
executed, styled and presented.
Yet just last August, the 22-year-old said it was "awful''
when a Home and Away publicity shot of her in a white bikini
was bought
from a picture agency and used to push sales for men's
magazine Ralph.
The newly brunette babe hasn't changed out of the bikini -
just added a few flimsy cover-ups - but she's certainly
changed her tune.
"I agreed to do it because I was able to handpick the
photographer and the location and was able to control what
the finished product
would look like,'' Lucas told Confidential.
"(Acclaimed fashion photographer) Nick Leary took the shots,
and the end result is no different to how a Vogue shoot
would look.''
Having just returned from a trip to Namibia as a charity aid
worker, Lucas doesn't fit the surgically enhanced bimbo
sterotype - which is
why she feels she can make a sleaze-free statement by
agreeing to pose for the sexy pics.
"Most bikini shots of women can look very sexist, but I
wanted to prove that you can look just as sensual when
you're more covered
up,'' Lucas said.
